Sunday we visited the charming village of Penshurst in Kent. It was most enjoyable to be out and about in the sunshine and enjoy clear blue skies. After a rather muddy 4 mile walk, we ended up at a small square enclosed by timber Tudor cottages. It's the 'original' Leicester Square. Which was named after the Elizabethan Earl of Leicester. In the side of the old Post Office building built in 1850, is this lovely old GR Letter Box.
this looks so wonderful, what a great story it would tell if it could talk. I've never been to Penshurst and what a perfect day yesterday was for a walk.
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful! I love such things telling a story of the past!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great day Laura, even with a muddy walk. All I can see here is snow. Lots and lots of snow!
ReplyDeleteI really like this shot. Wonderfully composed!
Great shot! I cannot imagine a 4 mile muddy walk - sounds like a lot of work! :)
