Life in India

I thought I'd give you a little glimpse of daily life in Bangalore. Today whilst sitting at my desk working I noticed there were a couple of large crows in my small little garden tossing something around. On further inspection I realised it was part of the remains of a very large black rat! But I guess that can pretty much happen anywhere in the world.

Below is a typical home. Many homes have symbols in chalk or paint to welcome people in or in the case below to wish goodness.

  1. This is very interesting, Laura.
Thank you for posting it here.
I love the idea of the symbols on the homes.
Somewhat like our "Welcome" mats (?)
    Have a great day!

  2. Oh my the sights you must be seeing while you are living in that oh so different land.

  3. this is quite scary but done so well by you, have you thought of doing a series of houses on your street, I would think it would be fascinating.

  4. It's so interesting to see and learn something about other cultures! Thanks so much for sharing this, Laura!

  5. I feel so bad looking at these pictures, conditions which the locals live. I don't think I could live in India, it would be too sad. You are living such a venture.
