Feeling Blue

Today the packers carefully finished packing up the contents of our home for its long trip to India. We will follow in around 6 weeks time. Walking around the house today seeing all my worldly possession wrapped and boxed in cardboard made me realise how complex, materialistic and cluttered our lives are. Tomorrow the house will be pretty much empty and we will live with just basics for a time. How cleansing that will be.

  1. OH I so love blue! (There is blue somewhere in every room of our house....both bathrooms and two bedrooms are painted blue.) This is a glorious image. You are moving to India? I need to go back in your blog and find some details. We are simply getting a new bed...a king size pedestal bed and new mattress, so we have decided also to replace our carpet and paint the walls. All the bedroom furniture has to be moved elsewhere in the house. I'll be aware of how much STUFF we have, too.

  3. Oh my goodness Laura, India?
Are you visiting for an extended period, or actually moving there permanently?
It sounds very exciting. Like you, we could use some de-cluttering here too!

Thank you so very much for sharing with us this week at The Creative Exchange.

    Have a wonderful evening!

  4. Hope all goes well with the move and that everything gets to its final location in perfect order. I think moving to India would be out of this world. I will look forward to learning more about your move. genie

  5. It will be a wonderful new adventure although it probably doesn't feel like that at the moment! I love this beautiful blue and I bet it smells wonderful too.

  6. Beautiful photo. And yes it's a good feeling not to see plenty of stuff around. ^_^
